925 Stamped Solid Silver Moonstone Ring

The name derives from its antique purpose; to slip poison discretely into the food or drink of one’s enemy. Ancient Romans were also known to use poison rings to facilitate their own suicide (so as to escape their capture or torture). Later, in the Middle Ages, the ring gained more benign purposes such as carrying perfume, relics of hair and tiny portraits.

In the present day, you can store something small and secret, whatever your heart desires; perhaps even the ashes of a loved one.

The Moonstone is delicately encased in silver and has been decorated, by hand, with tribal silver filigree detail.

This treasure was sourced on adventures in India. Through liaising with the finest jewellers and picking the most beautiful stones (in a country which is renowned for the gems it has to offer) this masterpiece was created.
